The experience in general was good but not awesome and the reason is because there is not clear signage of the train details, and multiple employees send me to different places. In the other hand the experience inside the train was awesome, very confortable, clean and on time.

We bought the tickets in the airport, but it took a while to receive the tickets. "Luckily" the train was delayed and there were a bit chaos in the airport station. It is easier to buy direct when travelling only by one train from the airport to a station

I was not able to use the tickets as I did not receive them in time to take the train I booked. Had to book another ticket on a different platform to ensure I got to the airport on time for my flight. Will probably not use this service again and will request a refund through my Credit Card company

There's no need for a detailed commentary. The Leonardo Express is the best way to get from Stazione Termini to Fiumicino, and I use it every time I need to get to the airport from Termini. This time I bought the ticket via Headout to avoid the ticket machines. I'll use Headout again if I have to go to Fiumicino next year. It's much more convenient than an automat, at least for me. I had bought tickets online to get from Rome to the airport .We had problems getting through the gates at the station with our tickets . Eventually we were allowed through a free entrance. Once on the train our tickets were checked and it turned out that I had bought the tickets the "other way around", I had tickets from the airport to Rome. Conductor said that I actually had to pay a fine of €50 per person plus two new tickets (total €130) but gave us a fine of €5 per person (€10) which was very kind. The outward journey had gone well by the way . Excellent service so !!!!

Tickets are easy to buy online, for a reasonable price, and can be changed to another time if you should run late, without any problem. The platform from which the train would depart was easy to find and there was staff available at the station to help with any questions. The service runs regularly and at convenient times, so ideal for when you come to Rome or have to catch your flight back. It is a fast and comfortable journey. From Roma Termini you can easily catch a bus, metro or taxi for your onward journey when visiting Rome. I can highly recommend using the Leonardo Express!

Round-trip transfer with zero stops, traffic, and stress – just a smooth and superfast ride.

  • Why choose this: Skip the traffic and zip between Fiumicino Airport and Rome Termini in just 30 mins on the Leonardo Express. Trains run every 15 mins from early morning till late night, ensuring you won’t have to wait long.
  • Everything you get: The trains are equipped with air conditioning, plenty of luggage space, and one child aged 4-11 rides free with each paying adult making it better value than a taxi.

The easiest and fastest way to travel to Rome from the airport, it is very close and leaves you in the center, there are many buses to then reach your destination, the truth is that I was surprised by the transportation issue, very easy, cheap and accessible.

Due to a previously cancelled train, our service was extremely overcrowded. My 11-year-old son was nearly pushed between the train and the platform by an older gentleman. There were no staff members present on the platform to support passengers or manage the crowd, which made the situation quite dangerous. Fortunately, we were able to find seats on board, and the remainder of our journey was pleasant, at least for us.

The track number was only displayed at the last moment, two minutes before the train was due to arrive, so this was a source of stress for us, not knowing if we were in the right place and with few agents available on site or unrecognizable among the crowd. Magnificent train, very comfortable, fast and although we left 10 minutes late, we arrived on time.

  • What to carry/avoid
Keep your ticket (digital or printed) handy for checks. There are no luggage restrictions, but keep valuables close. Avoid carrying large sums of cash, and be mindful of pickpockets in crowded areas, especially at Termini.
